Party for Futures: An Anthology of Contemporary Arab Theater

We're gathering to rustle up some love for a beloved project, توق للقادم / Futures: An Anthology of Contemporary Arab Theater.
This anthology has been in the works since 2021, when Masrah Ensemble received over 500 submissions in response to an open call for new plays in Arabic.
53rd State Press will publish توق للقادم / Futures in 2025 as sister anthologies: one in English, one in Arabic. They include work by Yasser Abu Shaqra, Arzé Khodr, Rim Mejdi, Wael Qaddur, Nasr Sami, and Leila Tubal, as well as introductions by US-based playwrights Lucas Baisch, Jess Barbagallo, Agnes Borinsky, Nazareth Hassan, Kristen Kosmas, and Haruna Lee.
Come get a taste of the plays, meet friends, celebrate, have a drink. An opportunity to gather together on a Sunday. There will be readings from a few of the plays.
Suggested donation at the door, as Masrah Ensemble is raising money to support the publication process for توق للقادم / Futures.
